The challenges surrounding determining the status and integrity of the language used in media are covered in this article. Modern linguistics describes and formulates contemporary solutions to this issue. We got to the conclusion that the speech of Internet users represents the dominant tendencies in communication in the modern world. The blending of genre and style lines, the demand for informality, and the ease of communication result in both the loss of some linguistic characteristics and the rise of new ones. Therefore, the focus is on the procedure for changing the language of media as well as the many causes of this shift.
The characteristics of the mass media were also examined, and their functional traits were taken into account. Analysis is conducted on the novel features of new and conventional mass media, as well as the processes of mass political communication that have emerged as a result of the advancement of information and computer technology.
The article discusses the variables influencing how language is used in the media today, the significance of text linguistics in this, and the issues with socioeconomic differentiation in society. An important area of study in the field of linguistics is the interaction of social and internal structural factors in language. As a result of the complexity of scientific and technological advancements that influence the communication life of society, it is noticed that current language life is growing more sophisticated and diverse. It was believed that locating this speech branch within the system of conventional functional styles is necessary for identifying the functional-stylistic approach to determining the primary characteristics of the mass media language.
The article made original proposals and theoretical conclusions on this issue.
