Abstract

Modern journalism is in a state of forced transformation due to the rapid development of social networks, websites, and blogging. The changes it undergoes affect all aspects of the media, including leading trends, material issues, the relevance of news activities, public opinion, and the role of a journalist in society, thereby creating a new challenge for media workers: to adapt to modern media demands or leave the information market. The article also examines the impact of social platform algorithms on news filtering and the impact of blogging on the media environment. As a result of the media analysis in the Kostanay region, practical recommendations are provided for journalists and editorial offices aimed at the effective use of social networks in modern journalism and overcoming the challenges associated with this.
