The article is devoted to the issues of actualization of global changes in the market of social networks, occurring under the influence of legal restrictions on the activities of foreign companies in the Russian Federation. The reasons for the introduction of such restrictions, their impact on social relations in society and the functioning of freedom of speech institutions are considered. The issues of the functioning of taboo applications are analyzed from different points of view, statistics are given, and official documents, international reports, and media publications are used. The practical part of the research is supported by a comprehensive study of the issue, technical analysis of the use of Meta products in different parts of the world using browser technologies. The combination of theoretical and practical data ultimately leads to certain logical conclusions and short-term forecasts. The essence of this comes down to understanding the impossibility of fulfilling the conditions in the era of the rapid development of the Internet. The study reveals a critical attitude of the world community to the attempt to nationalize social networks, which are by their nature an intercultural, supranational phenomenon. In parallel, there are constraint-related downward trends in economic, political, and cultural interactions.
