Abstract

This article investigates the stages of technological innovation in Kazakh television, detailing the influence and evolution of technological advances within the country's television and radio broadcasting sectors. By analyzing the historical context and specific periods, the study identifies the main phases of innovation in the field of mass communications.

The study focuses on three main periods: the first period, characterized by the introduction of television technology during the Soviet era; the second period, marked by the development of national television during the years of independence; and the third period, associated with the transition to digital broadcasting and recent advancements in digital transformation strategies. Each period is defined by unique challenges and achievements, reflecting broad socio-economic and political changes in Kazakhstan.

The content updates of Kazakh television, the enhancement of program quality, and the increased potential of broadcasts coincide with technical progress and the social demands of society. The difficulties faced by domestic television during the Soviet period and the freedom of speech afforded to the public and journalists after independence are reflected in the television programs of the respective eras. This article discusses these aspects through the lens of the unique challenges and achievements associated with each stage of technological innovation. Additionally, it explores the socio-economic and political factors influencing the timing of updates and their impact on Kazakh television.

The final conclusions highlight the dynamic nature of technological progress in Kazakh television and underscore the importance of continuous innovation to maintain the relevance and competitiveness of the industry in an ever-changing media environment.
