Abstract

The article analyses the podcasts in Bulgaria, their place in the media ecosystem
and their thematic scope. It identifies communicative, rhetorical, and linguistic features, the ways of
dissemination. The author made a finding about podcasts in Bulgaria in terms of media studies,
public relations, and rhetoric. The research methods are discourse analysis, rhetorical and linguistic
analysis. The corpus includes 50 podcasts. The study period was from January 2018 to September
2021. The findings are about the place and role of podcasts in the media ecosystem in Bulgaria and
their development at the genre, thematic, organisational, and communicative levels.
