Data journalism is a branch of modern Kazakh journalism that is being
considered and studied. It appears in modern journalism as a global phenomenon that has its
own legitimacy and place. A new area of research is the theoretical basis, systematized directions
in Kazakh language. For this purpose, the scientific article analyzes the role of visualization skills
in the activity of a journalist in domestic mass media, the ability to work with open data, and the
analytical approach, presenting world theoretical positions. Comparing the work of foreign Data
journalists with the current experience of our country, we can say that there are clear arguments
and judgments.
Also, in a scientific article, the author gives the maximum assessment of statistical data in
Data Journalism and methods of coverage of information by a journalist, rational ways of transmitting it to the audience.
