Genre and language features of information in newspaper

Abstract

The materials of the information genre are the main source of information in the mass media, especially in newspapers. Linguists have always been focused on genre requirements, language and style of this. The study of lexical and stylistic features of the information genre is especially important for linguistics and journalism. The information genre is characterized by accuracy, facticity, brevity and speed. We emphasize that these criteria are considered necessary for journalism, especially in the era of globalization. The article analyzes the lexical and stylistic features of the information genre based on the materials of the Karakalpak press.
