Abstract

The article analyses the citizen journalism concept and compares its advantages and disadvantages.
At the same time, it discusses the role of citizen journalism in traditional media. The article defines the nature of
the work of bloggers and the social network, their specific characteristics. The analysis of websites, portals, and
bloggers’ posts identified criteria that must be met in order to fulfill the duties of the media
