This article explores the impact of mass media on children's mental states. Various types of media content, such as television programs, the internet, social networks, and video games, are considered, along with their potential effects on children's emotional and psychological development. Factors that may amplify or mitigate the negative impact of media, such as family support and educational programs, are analyzed. Recommendations are provided for parents, educators, and content creators to ensure the healthy psychological development of children in the digital age. The article also examines the positive aspects of media content, such as educational and developmental programs, which can contribute to children's cognitive and social development. The article focuses on how children can use media to their advantage and cope with negative influences through media literacy and critical thinking. The research proposes strategic approaches and practical advice to foster a favorable media environment that fosters children's harmonious development and well-being. There are specific examples where long-term exposure to violent television programs and movies, excessive time spent on social networks, use of video games with aggressive content, and watching videos with similar content can exacerbate aggression, anxiety, and anger issues in children and adolescents.
