Abstract

There are press services, marketing or PR departments in every government body, quasipublic sector and other institutions in Kazakhstan. However, in the leading countries of the world, these
departments work independently of each other, each has its own activities and responsible for its work. In
Kazakhstan, this work is mostly carried out by the press service. The division of the responsibility between
departments depends mainly on the strategy of the institution. In some companies there is only one press
secretary, and in other there are whole departments of the press service and PR. This article provides an
example from the healthcare industry. Taking into account the opinions and international experience of
various PR experts, the article describes the priority areas of the press service
