The article is devoted to the need for a serious study of philological disciplines in the training
of future journalists, as they must learn to master the word, as well as have a broad general cultural erudition.
Academic freedom of higher educational institutions, training conducted in accordance with the classifier of
specialties, as well as licensing of new areas of training in accordance with the classifier are considered in this
article. The questions of accreditation mechanism, quality assessment of higher education, their regulations, and
academic freedom of higher education institutions are studied. Because of Philology and journalism are close to
each other, in the period of globalization in the areas of journalism, mass media technology and Philology.
