Everyone knows that one of the oldest, indigenous newspapers with a history of more than
ninety years is the newspaper «Ontustyk Kazakhstan.» This article discusses thematic, stylistic and linguistic
features of the socio-political newspaper «Ontustik Kazakhstan», the founders of which are activists of the
Alash movement. The history of the newspaper is investigated, and historical changes in the contents of the
newspaper are shown in comparisons with the current content. The article describes the styles of themes, and
their types, as well as the design of themes in the newspaper. Headings, genre columns, and a system of regular
headings are studied with specific examples from newspaper articles. The articles from the time columns were
not ignored either
