Abstract

In this article, the author reflects on a new topic that has not previously been touched upon in folklore and information science, and introduces the term “folklore information” for the first time and reveals its nature. For the first time, the preservation of folklore information in the memory of the people, its genre-stage division, content-form characteristics, and functional transformation are determined.

“Mythical information”, “fabulous information”, “legendary information”, “poetic and song information” according to their genre-stadium nature, and then according to their content-form and performance (functional) characteristics, it is classified as “periodic, i.e., temporary information”, “resident, i.e., spatial information”, “behavioral information”, “descriptive-descriptive information”, “digital information”, “characteristic information”, etc., and a definition is given to each of them, giving specific examples. The article is of interest both to folklorists and journalist-researchers of publicity.
